Terra Consultants is a New Zealand based and owned multidisciplinary consultancy company. We believe in the concept of putting together teams of professionals that suit the specific project for the benefit of the project and ultimately the client. For this reason, Terra Group has developed alliances with a range of specialists with whom we jointly work with when specific projects require it.
The range of services we can offer in-house is primarily related to the planning, analysis, design and implementation of infrastructural and land development projects. Our expertise includes, but is not limited to; Project Management, Planning, Surveying, Structural Engineering, Construction & Civil Engineering, Land Development, Urban Design, Architecture and Built Environment. Our departments are transdisciplinary; a combination of different experts from various disciplines working together to approach a common goal. This consequentially eases the process of construction.
Terra Group has not only accumulated extensive experience working on projects, large and small for many local authorities, multi-national companies and local businesses alike, but has also nurtured and retained strong relationships with research and educational facilities within the Auckland regions.
A Brief History

Terra Group originally started out in 2002 as a development advisory company and project management service for Council and land developers.
Since its start-up Terra over the last 20 years has grown into a multi-disciplinary company with over 80 professionals providing a full range of services, Urban Design, Architecture, Town Planning, Surveying, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Construction and project Management. Terra Group's head office is located in Grafton, Auckland.
Terra has a successful track record of providing professional services for subdivisional design and construction management in the Northland region and currently has a number of large subdivision projects in Kerikeri and are involved in several plan changes, as well as projects in Whangarei and Ruakaka. We provide consultancy services to assist with processing of Resource Consent applications to Northland, Kaipara, and Whangarei Council.
Terra became involved in the Christchurch recovery effort following the major earthquake in February 2011 and set up a permanent office in Christchurch in 2012. Today our Christchurch office provides a full land development and structural engineering advice, design, and construction management for a wide range of Clients across the Canterbury and South Island region.
Terra have been actively involved in projects in the Waikato region for fifteen years. Terra Group's first Hamilton office was established in 2005. In 2016 Richard Falconer joined Terra as a partner and Director and has grown our office in Hamilton into a thriving hub of client success. We now also service Tauranga, Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty Region offering full land development service to our clients
Terra is committed to improving its service to clients, and as market needs change and higher density living in the major cities becomes more preferred Terra has expanded its range of professional services to encompass urban and architectural design. Terra Architects is lead by Director and Lead Architect Deshan Jayawickrema and the list of impressive and acclaimed projects that the team have been involved in is growing.
